Marzamemi is an old fishing village built around an Arab-era tonnara, just steps from the property. The heart of the village is Piazza Regina Margherita, a large golden stone square that opens straight onto the sea, with two churches dedicated to the same patron saint facing each other. Around it, narrow lanes lead to the Balata, the second small harbour, and to the Vicolo delle Sirene with its famous mural. Fresh fish is served everywhere, you wander with no plan, and the evening atmosphere on the piazza is something you will not easily forget.
