Barone Sergio

Near Marzamemi, among the vineyards of Pachino, you'll find Barone Sergio: a winery where the same family has been farming the land of the Val di Noto for more than three centuries. It's the right place both to discover the local wines and to watch the sun set over the vines with a glass in hand.

The wine tasting

The classic tour lasts about three hours, usually between noon and 3 pm. You start with a walk through the vineyards of native grape varieties, visit the cellar to see how the wine is made, and finish with the tasting, in the historic baglio or on the terrace overlooking the vines. Each wine is paired with a dish made from local produce. It's best to book a few days ahead.

Summer sunset parties

In summer, the winery hosts DJ parties among the vines. You arrive for an aperitivo, watch the sun go down over the vineyards and stay to dance. The programme changes every year, so check the dates on their channels before you go.
